A burglar alarm led police to Lindsay Lohan’s house on Tuesday, where officers found evidence of a potential break-in and ransacking.

Turns out, the mess belonged to Lohan, not the burglars, police said.

An alarm company notified police that someone tripped an alarm at the house around 3 p.m. in Hollywood. Police determined no one entered the home and nothing was stolen, but the mess inside the starlet’s home prompted officers to ask, ”Is it normally like this, or did the intruders do it?” said Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner.

Ha! This reminds me of the time some people stole my best friend’s family station wagon. When the police found it, they notified her family that it had really been torn apart and the damage was extensive. When they got it back, it was exactly the same. It even had the fake fur coat still chillin in the back seat which they believe prompted the thieves to take it in the first place. (It may help to know that her family owned the New York bagel shop in Texas and would always say, “See you round like a bagel!”)
